So I am finally home again enjoying the beautiful weather of NC! I must say the rain almost the entire trip made the vacation a little miserable!!
Or... maybe it was the fact that I knew I had a package at home waiting for me... Yep that was it!! My package from Trinity Brass Co. And that saying about "Great Things Come In Small Packages" so holds true! So I bypassed the dog and ran right for my box! He was a little miffed, but he got over it! lol. And when I opened it, to my surprise... it was beautiful! I have started adding items to http://www.toadlyunique.etsy.com/, but I have to tell you it is going to be hard to part with these little pretties. I know they will make someone's creations spectacular!! The quality of the items are fantastic, and I know you will all be as impressed as I am. So check out http://www.toadlyunique.etsy.com/ for new items being added daily! I still have 100's of items to list, so check back often!! Thanks
P.S. I didnt make it to any bead stores in NH either (***wipes tear***) :o)

Ok So I am heading north to my husband's brother's graduation. Got some mixed feelings about this vacation. Boy... is it a long drive. A really long drive. So we are going back to Manchester, NH and then to Maine to see my family. I think when this is over I will need a real vacation. Great thing about NH... Tax free! whooo hoooo!!

Guess what is coming soon!!
So I have been looking around to see what is now "in"... in the Jewelry world... and much to my surprise, brass findings are making a come back! The new patina look of some of the items out there look fantastic! And with Steampunk on the rise and Artists making great pieces out of used and old household items... I decided to see what I could find out in this huge world of findings. I stumbles across Trinity Brass Company... and I fell in love with quite a few of their pieces!! So ToadlyUnique is now an authorized seller of Trinity Brass Co. items! An order is coming soon to the store... so check back with us to see some unique items to use in your pieces!!
For those lampwork artists out there making the skeleton key pendants, there will be some great brass pieces to dangle from your work! I cant wait to make some really neat stuff!!

Lately....
So I got sick of the local bead stores here in NC (greensboro especially) ... Economy is horrible and for some reason lets jack up the prices of beads! They're not oil or gas!! So I thought.. you know what... I am a wholesaler.. I can find great beads ... at great prices and sell them to people just like me. People who make jewelry because they love it. And then ToadlyUnique.etsy.com was born! I have a wide range of gemstones, pearls, findings, fused glass pendants, and so much more. Just added... ToHo Seed Beads. And be sure to check out the best seller... the Mother of Pearl Carved Flowers. We have undergone some changes to the site... but we will be up and running again in no time.

So first I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am from New England originally... actually a place called Maine. Yes there are states above Massachusetts!! Grew up in a small town, and always had a love for building things with my hands. I was always doing Arts and Crafts, trying to make something out of nothing. I started working as a slave to a Corporate Enity...and soon realized that I needed a hobby. I started making Jewelry and was bored with simple stringing in no time. I branched out into Lampwork beads...and then my passion for Fire surfaced! I then became a pyro! Took a Silversmithing class... loved it.. but not as much as I loved playing with glass. Then my husband bought me the mother of all torches... and I started to learn to blow glass... however with getting married, going to school full-time, working full-time, and buying a house (that needs to be remodeled) my glass was put on hold. ***sniffle*** But then I learned about Slumping and Fusing Glass.. and a whole new world opened up. I have been selling my pieces at work... people seem to love them. They will soon be on my website... www.toadlyunique.etsy.com!!!
